  • About

We are facing a funding shortfall as a result of the Coronavirus Crisis.

We need your support more than ever to raise £110k so that we can continue to provide medical care and a safe home for rescued wildlife who are sick, injured, or orphaned for the rest of the year.

100% funded by kindness

WRAS relies on donations, and income generated from our tea rooms and visitors to the centre to cover the operational costs of the charity.

In 30 years, this has been the biggest challenge to our survival

Like many other wildlife centres around the country, we made the decision to close our doors to the public, based on the Governments advice.

This has been a very sad time for the team at the WRAS as this 30-year project may be forced to close its doors permanently unless we are able to raise enough funds to cover the running costs of the centre for the remainder of the year.

Why we are facing a shortfall

Most of our funding is generated through visitors to the centre. During a ‘normal’ year the increased footfall over the Summer months, generally generates enough income to cover our operating costs until Spring.

The closure of the centre due to the Coronavirus Crisis has ‘cut off’ our main revenue stream just as we enter into our peak visitor period.
